Bucket List

I finally decided to create my own bucket list. I was inspired while I was looking for blogs to follow. I found two following the authors' trip through the PCT. Ever since my life changing decision to go backpacking instead of just dreaming about it, I wanted to tackle the PCT. So here it is, my bucket list in no particular order:

Thru-Hike the PCT   I know I'm not ready for this yet, but I'm working towards getting there. I will do this alone if need be, armed with a machete or something.

Go Parasailing   They offer this up at Lake Tahoe, so when I get the chance I'll treat myself to one of the most beautiful sights in the world! I LOVE Lake Tahoe! :)

Run Around and Dance in the Heavy Rain with Someone I love   I love water. I love rain. And I love getting wet. So why not? It will be fun and romantic. ;)

Write a Book   I have an outline for a fiction. I started on the first chapter. I need to write more and reach the finish line. My goal is to write everyday for at least 10 minutes, whether it is working on my novel or something else.
          IN PROGRESS!

Go to Alaska   No particular plan or specific locations for this yet. I just want to go there and do something fun.

See the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)  Possibly from Alaska! It would be magical! The dance of the universe.

Go to Ireland   Same with Alaska. Although I kind of want to do some sort of home stay and do some hiking trips there. Herd sheep and make something of its wool. :)

Go to Scotland   Same with Alaska and Ireland.

See a Bear Up Close in Nature   Yes, I know this is dangerous. At least I'll be able to say I came pretty close to cuddling a real teddy. :]

Design My Own House   Note: with a living bathroom. I love bathrooms! It will be a nice, cozy house. This may be with the help of The Sims' build mode.

Design and Build My Own Tiny House   I have to admit, this became something that I really want to do after watching this documentary: http://tiny-themovie.com/  I find the idea of living minimally very intriguing and romantic in a way. I really do believe that our attachments to material things are restricting our freedom and choices.

Learn to Sail a Catamaran   I love the ocean! I love fishing, and I'd love to know how to sail. And catamaran looks cool. :)

Learn to Go Caving   I've been in caves before and they are AMAZING! I'd love to be able to explore one myself. I found an intensive three day course in Thailand.

Go Shooting and Learn How to Take Apart and Put Back Together Guns   Basically learn the mechanics of it and just enjoy the loud bangs.
          IN PROGRESS! (Shooting part DONE)

Be Good in One Form of Martial Arts    I don't know what yet, but I want to be good at some form of martial arts. Probably should look into this, hahaha!

Have a White Christmas and See a Real, Decorated Christmas Tree in a Square   Can you believe I've never seen this? I just realized while writing in my diary that I've always been wanting to do this.

Decorate a Real Christmas Tree with Someone I Love   Nope, never did this before either. Then maybe we'll cuddle and sip hot chocolate in front of the fireplace listening to Christmas music. Sighhh.... :)
The most amazing chore ever. :) Listening to Christmas songs while decorating a tree just brings joy to the heart and soul, seriously. I cannot describe how blissful I was. We did have hot chocolate later that night, but unfortunately we don't have a fireplace. I guess "Fireplace at Home" on TV and the heat dish melting our faces work well enough. <3

Go On a Road Trip   I love long car rides with good music and good people. I love to drive. I love new places. I don't mind not having a set plan as long as we get somewhere. Let's go!
I consider a 6+ hour drive to qualify as a road trip. We went to San Francisco (for a class) and Lake Tahoe (camping).

Knit a Grandma Sweater   You know, one of those dorky looking sweaters. Like the ones Harry and Ron got for Christmas in the first HP movie. I think it's cute!

Create a Badass Snowman   Because snowmen are always badass!

Visit At Least 10 Castles Around the World   I have always been fascinated by big places. What can they use that much space for? And I just feel like castles would have that air of forgone times, which is kind of magical in itself.

Explore Yosemite National Park   I can never get enough of nature. This is one of the top places I want to visit.
          8/11/14 - 8/15/14  Best trip ever!

Meet General Sherman, the Tree   I don't know where I first heard of General Sherman, but who doesn't want to experience being in the presence of the biggest tree in the world? Contrary to what most people would want, I like the feeling of being humbled.
8/15/14  Nice to meet you, General Sherman. More than awe-inspiring.

Gaze Upon the Magnificence of the Grand Canyon   This is one of the must-see sites before you die. It's also one of those places you've seen so many pictures of on postcards and television that you're challenging the real thing to wow you, you know.

Have My Own Little Garden   So I don't have to go to Ralph's to buy my veggies no more. Herbs are especially expensive. I grew up eating home-grown herbs, veggies, and fruits. They're the best thing ever!

Be a Good Wife and Mother   Hey, it's every woman's dream. Well, not really, but it's mine anyway. :)

To Love and Be Loved in Return   Enough said. <3
